Served on the Middle School Leadership Team for 5 years, 4 of which were as the Grade 7 Team Lead (2016-2021). Responsibilities included:
Communicating important administrative information to grade level teachers.
Facilitating bi-weekly meetings to plan grade level activities, organize advisory lessons, and identify students of concern.
Collaborating with the Dean of Students and other teachers to address individual student needs, both academic and socio-emotional.
Organizing and running the grade 7 Week without Walls trips.
Served as EARCOS Teacher Representative and Vietnam rep for the EARCOS Teachers’ Conference Advisory Committee (2017-2022). Responsibilities included:
Meeting annually with committee members from other East Asian countries to plan the EARCOS Teachers' Conference (ETC).
Registering and organizing my school's ETC participants.
Vetting and submitting Teacher Workshop Proposals from my school.
Served on the Admin Team for the Grades 4-8 Project X Week, a week dedicated solely to student inquiry projects (2018-2020). Responsibilities included:
Collaborating with team members to structure the schedule of the week.
Communicating with teachers during the week and providing support where needed.
Emceeing opening and closing ceremonies for the week.
Developed the school’s Dungeons and Dragons Club and watched it grow from 5 students in the first year to more than 20 students and multiple campaigns by year 5 (2017-2022). Responsibilities included:
Designing story arcs for student play.
Assisting students in character building.
Prepping for and running sessions that engaged up to 10 students at a time, both for in-person and virtual learning.
Facilitated the school’s Battle of the Books Club (2014-2015). Responsibilities included:
Checking in with students on their reading progress.
Facilitating student-run practice on recalling information from the books.
Chaperoning student competitions around the school district.
Volunteered as assistant director for 10 different theatrical shows (2010-2015). Responsibilities included:
Coaching students on voice and acting.
Collaborating with the director on blocking, set design, and prop construction.
Analyzing and providing constructive feedback on student performances.
